Paleontology Workshop

Desert View Trailhead

Professor Jack Tseng, is a California-raised paleontologist, Curator of the University of California Museum of Paleontology and Associate Professor in Integrative Biology at UC Berkeley. Dr. Tseng has generously offered to lead this workshop to inspire educators, and to help teachers better understand paleontology in the amazing environs of Red Rock Canyon State Park.

Hiking will be on moderate trails for a total 2-mile-round trip. Attendees should be in good condition for hiking and walking on uneven terrain around the park. Discussion on geology and paleontology will take place during the hike and around the park.

Showing school ID will be required at registration for attending educators. Attendees will bring their own sack lunch.
