VOLUNTEER IN PARKS

California State Parks maintains a volunteer program that offers a wide array of opportunities for willing volunteers.  The Red Rock Canyon State Park volunteer program offers volunteer training at least annually for those who are interested in enhancing the experience of park visitors.

Upon completion of training and registration, registered volunteers can help out with maintenance or habitat management assistance monthly work projects as well as assist with leading tours and school programs at the park.  No prior knowledge or experience is necessary and volunteers of any age and ability are welcome.  Trainees will be required to complete registration paperwork before beginning volunteer service, which includes a background check.
