FLORA (Plants)
Of Red Rock Canyon State Park

The best time of year for a spectacular flower season (of course depending on the weather) is during the Spring Wildflower season, Mid-March through to May, and occasionally into June if it stays cool. The canyons and hills of Red Rock will be alive in purples, reds, yellows, and gold. You can see many flowers such as the Desert Dandelion, Forget-Me-Nots, Desert Candles, Peppergrass, Desert Alyssum, Slender Keel-fruit, Beavertail Cactus, Bladder Pod, Winter Fat, Indigo Bush, Phacelia, Appricot Mallow and many others.

Of course, all year long you can also see the general desert saltbushes, Russian Thistle, Sages, Creosote, and desert grasses and shrubs.
